Where to get the cheapest PS3?

25 February 2013

MyGaming has put local gaming and consumer retailers, Makro, Game, Incredible Connection, Takealot, Kalahari, and BT Games, up against one another to see who offers the best price for a 12GB PS3 console and controller bundle.

We looked at the cheapest option available, and as the PS3 Super Slim 12GB console is the most-stocked and available console, we stacked up the standalone or bundle offers that are available.

Other retailers were looked at; unfortunately they did not have stock or the console is currently unavailable.

Retailer Price
BT Games R2,499.00 (console + 1 controller)
Kalahari R2,533.95 (console + 1 controller)
Makro R2,599.00 (console + 1 controller)
Takealot R2,899 (console + 1 controller)
Incredible Connection R3,299.95 (console + 1 controller + God of War III, Uncharted, Resistance: Fall of Man
Game R3,499.00 (console + 2 controllers + Uncharted 3 and FIFA 13)

CNA have two deals, a value and mega bundle, with the consoles being bundled with games, although, both options are “out of stock”.

Dion Wired has its 12GB console priced at R2,500, but it is currently out of stock.

The best option for a standard 12GB PS3 super-slim console and controller would then be BT Games’ price at R2,499.00.
