Games you can play this week

18 March 2013

This week, we see the return of the Gears soldiers and explore the origins Damon Baird and Augustus Cole before the events of the original Gears of War trilogy.

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct also drops this week, giving an FPS-based prequel to the famed TV series.

Gears of War: Judgment (22 March)

Just when you thought the Gears series was over, Gears of War: Judgment arrives this week, bringing back the chainsawing and curb-stomping action we’ve been craving.

Players will once again team up by taking the reins of Augustus Cole and Damon Baird, as the two step into the limelight to face the horrors of E-Day.

Expect more dependence, camaraderie, and dual-locust-killing from Gears of War: Judgment.

The Walking Dead: Suvival Instinct (22 March)

For fans of the show (and zombie fans in general), Activision’s Walking Dead game, developed by Terminal Reality, drops this week.

Survival Instinct will be a stealth/action FPS, as opposed to Telltale Games’ well-paced, story-driven horror adventure.

The game is a prequel to the TV show, and is set in the Georgia countryside focusing on Daryl and Merle Dixon as they fight their way through the walkers and make their way to Atlanta.

Both Norman Reedus and Michael Rooker were confirmed to reprise their respective roles in the game.

Am I the only one that thinks that Activi$ion’s version of the Walking Dead looks absolutely terrible with poor animations and graphics? Cash grab of note.
