Gaming specials this weekend

As the new generation of console heads our way (with the next-generation Xbox getting revealed on 21 May), retailers are pushing down prices on games and hardware to please gamers across South Africa.

Makro has a special for those looking for a new controller and game this weekend.

The special includes a new Xbox 360 S-controller, and either Tomb Raider, Bioshock Infinite, or Gears of War: Judgment (if you’re looking for some co-op action).

Marko has dropped the prices on a few of the biggest games on the market.

On both Xbox 360 and PS3, each version of Tomb Raider is priced at R499, along with Bioshock Infinite and God of War: Ascension.

BT Games has dropped some prices on a number of games as part of the Deal of the Week special.

The console games include Far Cry 3, FIFA 13, Assassin’s Creed 3 and Need for Speed: Most Wanted for R399.90 each, while the underrated Sleeping Dogs is R299.90.

Battlefield 3 on PC and console is now R99.90 each.
