Wolfenstein: The New Order – robot Nazi chaos overload

wolfenstein the new order

A number of international publications have been lucky enough to test out MachineGames’ alternate-history take on the Wolfenstein franchise with The New Order; but are things looking promising for the granddaddy of first-person shooters?

This time around, the game sees a different reality where the Nazis managed to win World War II, and of course its up to series hero BJ Blazkowicz to save the day from the maniacal Nazi powers.

The New Order will still remain true to the franchise’s formula – shooting Nazis in the face, using super weapons, and delving into the supernatural and paranormal.

MachineGames, a subsidiary of Bethesda parent company Zenimax, is behind the development this time. MachineGames was founded by the team behind Starbreeze Studios, who created Chronicles of Riddick.

The game is set to release on PC, Xbox 360, Playstation and next-gen consoles in Q4 2013.
