South African gaming retailers have extended a number of respective specials they are holding.
Kalahari is featuring a discount on some big titles, while Takealot is offering a cult classic for under R100.
Makro features some appealing console specials, and if you are looking for some digital specials, MyGaming has covered the newly released online digital game deals.
Kalahari
Kalahari has some game specials on offer due to their birthday sale and clearance sale converging. Various titles are on special, and stocks are limited, so head on over to check out what they’ve got.
For example, FIFA 13 PC is going for R282, Dark Souls PS3 for R159, Max Payne PS3 for R198, and Tomb Raider PS3 and Xbox 360 for R329.
The shamefully underplayed Collector’s Edition of Rayman Origins is on special for R198 on PS3, and R159 on Xbox 360
Dead Space 3 is also on discount for all platforms: R249 on PS3 and Xbox 360, and R209 on PC.
However, the BT Games Dead Space console special trumps this (below), and for a PC version you can’t really beat the Humble Origin Bundle at this point (if you don’t mind downloading it)
BT Games Dead Space 3 special
BT Games is selling Dead Space 3 on Xbox 360 and PS3 for R199.90.
BT Games also recently launched its digital download store, offering specials and free ADSL data for purchases. More info here: Free ADSL data with digital purchases at BT Games

The deal is valid until 26 August 2013.
Makro – PS Vita bundle: R2,299
Makro also has a decent deal on the PS Vita Wi-Fi. While the console itself generally goes for R2,000, Makro’s bundle throws in some games and accessories to get your started.
For R2,299 you get Call of Duty Black Ops Declassified, NFS Most Wanted, Motorstorm RC, and Wipeout 2048. Accessories include a 4GB memory card, a memory card holder, car charger, wrist strap, screen protector, and cleaning cloth.
Roccat XMG gaming laptop from Dion Wired – R13,000
