After the confusion surrounding whether FIFA 14 would be given free with all Xbox One purchases or only Day One editions, Microsoft has clarified that only Day One editions will be getting EA Sports’ next-gen footie title.
“Had a few questions on this so wanted to clarify: FIFA 14 will only come free with Xbox One Day One Edition pre-orders, while stocks last,” said Microsoft’s social marketing manager Graeme Boyd.
The tweet clarifies the initial confusion created by Phil Harrison, Microsoft corporate VP, who tweeted: “all pre-orders for Xbox One this holiday will include a copy of FIFA 14 at no extra cost”, leading gamers to believe that any Xbox One purchase would include FIFA 14.”
South Africa hasn’t received details on its Xbox One pre-order options as of yet; however, MyGaming has contacted Microsoft SA on the matter.
