Console and game specials this weekend

SA retailers have dropped prices on a variety of consoles and games, along with some peripherals; check them out below:

Console specials (Makro)

Makro has two console specials running this weekend – a Playstation 3 bundle and an Xbox 360 bundle.

The Playstation 3 bundle includes a 500GB super-slim console, two controllers, a Blu-ray remote, Gran Turismo 5: Academy Edition, God of War: Ascension and two Blu-rays: Parker and The Host.

The Xbox 360 bundle features a 4GB console, two controllers, the Kinect camera and 6 Kinect games (one of which is a downloadable title).

PS Vita bundle (Makro)

Makro has a PS Vita bundle on offer for R2,299.

Included in the bundle is the WiFi PS Vita model, a 4GB memory card, Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, and download tokens for Motorstorm RC and Wipeout 2048.

BT Games

BT Games is holding a number of midnight launches around the country on Monday evening in anticipation for the release of GTA 5 at 00:00 (Tuesday, 17 September).

Kalahari

Kalahari has cut the price slightly on Square Enix’s Tomb Raider reboot, offering gamers the action adventure game at a lower price.

The PC version is priced at R249, while the console versions are R329.

Incredible Connection has a special on the Age of Empires series, offering Age of Empires: Gold for R129.99, Age of Empires 2: Gold Edition for R59.99 and Age of Empires 3: Dynasties for R89.99.
