Gaming deals this weekend

It’s real slim pickings for gaming deals this weekend – we can only assume that retailers are saving the good stuff for the Christmas rush, or hopefully gearing up for some PS4 launch deals.

Below are a couple of picks that stood out – otherwise if you’re looking for some general tech deals going down this weekend, head on over to MyBroadband: Gadget and tech prices slashed

XBox 360 250GB Super Blockbuster Bundle from Makro – R3,599

Makro is offering an “XBox 360 250GB Super Blockbuster Bundle” for the reduced price of R3,599 – a saving of R1,400.

The bundle includes a 250GB XBox 360, 2 wireless controllers, a wired headset, Grand Theft Auto V, Gears of War 3, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Halo 4 and Tomb Raider.

The promotional price is available until 24 November 2013.

PS Vita + 4GB memory card + 2 games + travel kit from Makro – R3,198

Makro is offering some PS Vita specials. They aren’t mind-blowing, but they are slightly better than standard retail and you’ll be fully kitted out with Sony’s portable console. If you are planning on getting a PS4 the Vita gets extra legs as it can augment your experience with its big brother console.

Makro is offering the PS Vita (Wi-Fi), 4GB memory card, Killzone Mercenary, and Uncharted: Golden Abyss for a reasonable R2,799.

You can add on the PS Vita travel kit which will keep you charged up and sage while out and about. It includes a protective carry case, game and memory card holder, car charger, screen protector, screen cloth, and a wrist strap for R399.
