Skyrim might be getting a bit old, but it will forever be a great game. And thanks to creative modders and powerful hardware, the game is looking better than ever before.

Take a look at the top mods I have found for the game, some of which will really blow you away.

RealVision ENB

This simple mod by ENB will make your version of Skyrim look 100 times better. This mod adds post processing and lighting affects to the game’s visuals and is really easy to install.

Pure Waters

Water is a vital part to any game and can throw your visuals off completely if not done right. The Pure Waters mod for Skyrim makes the streams and lakes look unbelievably beautiful, it enhances the colors of the water, adds realistic transparency, improves reflections, and adds rain ripples and foam.

Skyrim Flora Overhaul

This mod changes your Skyrim landscapes by implementing 50 new ground textures, 4 new trees, and all new hi-res plant and leaf resolution that supports all current in-game flora.

Dat Grass

Dat Grass is the best grass mod around – but be warned, it is only recommended for high-end PCs. This mod turns your standrad Skyrim grass into the beautiful green blades you see in Flower. It does take away the Skyrim winter feel, but so what, we have had winter for long enough now.

Bring on the blood with this mod. It adds hi-res blood textures to the game which is a real treat in battle.

Improved NPC Clothing

It is only fair that we add something that makes those stiff NPCs look better right? The Improved NPC Clothing mod adds hi-res textures to the NPCs found in Skyrim, taking the original texture size of 512 x 512 to 2048 x 2048.

Skyrim HD

Probably the most important mod out there, Skyrim HD has over 600 improved textures and really makes the game look stunning. This mod has been around for ages, but has been tweaked over time to the masterpiece we see today.
