Useless video game characters

There are games that would be a whole lot better if some characters were removed completely.

To show you what I mean, I have put together a list of characters that were – and are – just plain terrible, and serve no real purpose in the games they inhabit.

Peco – Breath of Fire 3

This cute little onion-looking thing is well-designed and has quite a tale to tell – but do not use him in battle.

When Peco attacks he transforms into a larger onion-looking thing, a process that fails to give him any sort of power.

He can only kill an enemy after a few hundred attacks; meanwhile, he dies from a handful of punches.

Training him is equally annoying: he dies, you heal him, he dies again, and then you just put him at the back of your party. Useless.

Kimahri – Final Fantasy X

This guy lack personality, says nothing in the game, and sucks in battle.

As much as he pretends to be all awesome, he takes forever to level up and improve his attacks in battle, and has the worst skills list of any Final fantasy game character.

Magikarp – Pokémon

This would not be a useless video game character list without the inclusion of Magikarp.

I am sure you all know how worthless this fish is, and even though it evolves into Gyrados, we have to look at it as a single entity.

All this animal can do in terms of attacks is splash, and levelling it up requires you to let it see the other Pokémon in battle and then switch it out.

You will be rewarded with Gyrados if you persist with Magikarp, but it is not worth the pain.

Slippy Toad – Star Fox

If there is any character more annoying and useless in gaming than Magikarp, it has to be Slippy Toad.

This frog served one purpose, and one purpose alone: to make your life a living hell.

Slippy Toad did nothing but get himself into bad situations that required you to save him all the time, and his voice pierced your ears when he screamed for help.

I do not understand his existence.
