Top broadband suburbs in SA

When moving to a new neighbourhood one of the questions you should ask your real estate agent is: “What are the broadband speeds like around here?”. In the likely event he or she will not be able to answer the question, we present to you a list of the top 50 broadband suburbs in South Africa.

Ookla’s latest Net Index statistics shows that Pretoria is the top broadband suburb in South Africa with an average broadband download speed of 10.3Mbps.

The Net Index website, which uses data from millions of recent test results from Speedtest.net, shows that the average download speed in South Africa is 5.2Mbps.

South Africa’s average download speed is significantly lower than the global average of 17.7Mbps, while the country’s average upload speed of 2.5Mbps is also much lower than the global average of 8Mpbs.

The following list provides an overview of the top broadband cities, towns and suburbs in South Africa.

    “Suburbs”???? Why are you listing cities then?? Would actually really like to know the best “suburbs” … cities are too large and alot depends on your suburb.
