E3’s biggest titles to get you excited

Batman Arkham Knight feature

E3 is upon us and one thing is obvious, its gaming glitz and glamour will not be possible without the games that get revealed during the week of gaming madness.

We have put together a list of the hottest games that we know will be present at this year’s E3 – these are the ones that you should be watching.

Sony

The Order 1886 – Ready at Dawn Studios

Set in an alternate London where the old order of knights keep the world safe from half breed monsters who are a combination of man and animal. This third person action-adventure has been in the spotlight this year for its breath-taking visuals and great weapon system.

Uncharted PS4 – Naughty Dog

We do not know much about Naughty Dog’s latest game which was teased during E3 2013. It is personally my most anticipated title of E3 this year, apparently we will be treated to a three minute gameplay video.

Guerrilla Games RPG – Guerrilla Games

I am quite intrigued to see what Guerrilla Games have up their sleeve. The Killzone studio has been working on an RPG for quite some time now. No much is known about this title besides rumours saying that it is going to be on a “massive scale”.

Microsoft

Halo 5 Guardians – 343 Industries

We were introduced to a great CG trailer at last year’s E3, and last month we learned that Halo 5 will be titled Halo 5 Guardians. Master Chief will return and according to the concept art we are set for gun-fights in the desert.

Forza Horizon 2 – Playground Games, Turn 10

Running on the same gorgeous engine as Forza 5, Forza Horizon 2 returns in all its open world glory to compete in the racing genre once again. Forza Horizon is set for release this spring, but at E3 will finally get to see some gorgeous cars.

Gears of War: Lazarus (leaked name) – Black Tusk Studios

We know that Black Tusk Studios are prepping a Gears of War announcement for this E3, but what direction has the franchise gone in? Last month we learned that the game had just started development so don’t expect this title till next year if we are lucky.

Nintendo

Super Smash Bros

Nintendo’s brawler is looking great, with over 30 confirmed fighters and some great visuals, Super Smash Bros will be a title to look forward to for Nintendo fans. It will be one of the highlights of Nintendo’s E3 event this year.

The Legend of Zelda: Shard of Nightmare (leaked name)

Not much is known about the latest Legend of Zelda game for Wii U. We recently learned that it might be called The Legend of Zelda: Shard of Nightmare.

One thing is for sure: Nintendo has a Zelda ready for reveal this year, and I am sure it will be great.

Xenoworld (Monolith X) – Monolith Software

When X was revealed last year, Nintendo fans went crazy. The game looks gigantic and has some great levels. Huge monsters, vast environments, and transformable robots. I cannot wait to see what else this game has in store for us.

Third party publishers

Assassin’s Creed: Unity/Assassins Creed Comet – Ubisoft

The annual entry to the Assassins Creed series is expected to be shown at E3, be ready for some great visuals if it has anything to do with the teaser trailer we received a while ago. We know that there will be two entries released this year, a PS4 and Xbox One version, and a last generation version. Two games, two stories, and two opportunities to be great.

Far Cry 4 – Ubisoft

Pack your bags and get ready for a trip to the Himalayas. Far Cry 4 will see the series take a trip up the mountains to fight drug lords, arms dealers, and a guy in an extremely flamboyant suit.

Battlefield Hardline – DICE / EA

Hardline is being developed by Visceral Games in conjunction with EA, and promises a more in-depth, story-driven single-player experience compared to other Battlefield titles.

The game is based around a detective named Nick Mendoza who pursues his rogue ex-partners across the U.S. New multiplayer modes will also be introduced in the cops-and-robbers game: Heist, Rescue, Hotwire, and Bloodmoney.

It might be refreshing for the series to get a spin off that is not based on an epic battleground. Battlefield Hardline will release on 21 October 2014.

Baman Arkham Knight – Rocksteady Studios

Although recently delayed till 2015, E3 will finally shed some light on Batman: Arkham Knight gameplay. Hopefully we get more than a bunch of highly edited clips.
