Bicycles and Barns – games you can play this week

17 June 2014

This week of June 2014 offers up a variety of new titles, guaranteed to satisfy those thirsty for blood, itching for some time in the French Alps, or hankering for a bit of corn planting. Here are the games you can play this week.

EA UFC

EA UFC releases for the PS4 and Xbox One this week, with the PS4 version arriving in SA on 20 June 2014.

I played the demo of this game recently and, despite being a Fight Night fan, I was impressed with how the MMA title looked, felt, and played. EA has said they are focusing on their UFC titles for the next two years, with the hope they can bring a realistic and exhilarating experience to fans of the sport.

Farming Simulator 14

Grab ’em hay bails and wheat stalks and let’s go to the market. That’s how farmers talk, right? Farming Simulator 14 is available on the PS Vita from 20 June 2014, and from what we have read, it is actually quite a decent game – if you are into farming, that is.

Tour de France 2014/Pro Cycling Manager 2014

With the Tour de France only a few weeks away, Focus Home Interactive has released two games to get you in a cycling mood: Tour de France 2014 and Pro Cycling Manager 2014.

The first title sees you “experience the sensations of a professional rider competing in the Grande Boucle” on the PS4, PS3, and Xbox 360 from 20 June, while Pro Cycling Manager 2014 allows gamers to “play the sporting director of a team of professional cyclists and travel the world to participate in the most prestigious competitions on the pro circuit”. The manager title is available on PC on 19 June.
