MyGaming reveals the Greatest Game Ever Made

Greatest Game Ever made

The MyGaming readers have spoken, and Super Mario Bros. is the Greatest Game Ever Made.

1,437 people voted in the MyGaming survey, and the Italian plumber created by a Japanese company took top honours after kicking off with a slow start.

With 58 games nominated for the survey, the 1,437 votes were thinly split and Mario’s winning margin was less than half a percentage point, with Half-Life following close behind.

Here are the top 10 greatest games ever made, as voted by you.

1. Super Mario Bros. – 6.19%

The little plumber and his quest to to save the princess will go down as a game that shaped the industry. Have you finished it, though?

2. Half-Life – 5.85%

Half-Life, like Mario, made a huge impact on the world of gaming when it was released, and Valve can attributed a lot of its original success to the FPS title.

3. Half-Life 2 – 5.43%

Half-Life’s able sequel nearly managed to beat out its predecessor, missing the runner up spot by only a few votes.

4. StarCraft – 5.08%

I suspect what happened with this list of theirs is that they confused the most distributed and played games with games that are truly well produced.
