Gaming’s catchiest slogans

All gaming slogans are not created equal. Some come and go without leaving an impression, while others, like the ones featured below, are burned into your consciousness for all eternity. For better or for worse.

There they sit, waiting for the day a line of text or a part of a tune trigger you into full “humming it for the rest of the day” mode.

For this, we apologise.

Pokémon: Gotta catch ‘em all!

“It’s you and me, I know it’s my destiny, something, something, something, gotta catch ’em all, Pokémon.”

This will be stuck in your head for the rest of the day now – it’s a pleasure.

The slogan we saw plastered on TV, toys, and video games for many a year is not soon going to leave this earth, Nintendo are adamant to keep it alive.

EA Sports: It’s in the game

Every time you booted up Fifa on the PlayStation 2 – or any EA sports game on any platform – you would be treated to the EA logo and an epic voice saying: “EA Sports, it’s in the game”.

Tell me you did not say it at least once when the game started. Maybe softly, maybe loudly, either way, you know you said it.

EA Games: Challenge Everything

If you weren’t playing a sports game from EA, you were challenging everything in one of their other titles. Like “It’s in the game”, “Challenge Everything” was a phrase you at least mumbled while waiting for the game to start up.

Nvidia: The way it’s meant to be played

While Nvidia did not verbally tell you gaming with them was “The way it’s meant to be played”, the message still stuck.

The familiar tune and the softly spoken “Nvidia” let us know it was time to dominate on the PC.

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die

It’s Dark Souls, you are going to die a lot, get used to it.

You can’t say the developers did not warn you before releasing the first Dark Souls.

LittleBigPlanet: Play Create Share

The Play Create Share slogan tells you everything about the game in three simple words.

You play the game, you create in the game, and then you share in the game. Or you share the game. Maybe you share food while eating and playing the game. Basically, just share.

  • Arc

Not a slogan but still waaay catchy. From baldurs gate “you must gather your party before venturing forth”

  • BeoTeK

Actually Dark Souls wasn’t released with the slogan, only when they ported it to PC and included the Artorias of The Abyss DLC did it then become Prepare To Die. And that was the title of the bundle.
The better reference/slogan to Dark Souls would be “You Died”.
