Survival and Scares – games you can play this week

As the end of July approaches, the pre-Christmas/end-of-year release season draws ever closer.

Unfortunately, the flood of top titles is yet to take place, and it is another week of slim pickings – bar one.

The Last of Us: Remastered ships to all of you who pre-ordered the upgraded PS3 classic, and is due out on Friday, 1 August 2014.

The Last of Us: Remastered

The upgraded and improved version of The Last of Us for the PS4 is due out on 1 August 2014.

The original game has taken numerous gaming awards across several categories, including Outstanding Achievement in Story, Outstanding Innovation in Gaming, Adventure Game of the Year, Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction, and Game of the Year at the recent DICE awards.

The remastered version is set to bring all that award-winning gameplay back in 1080p.
