All hail the games of August

30 July 2014
Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil

Finally, some excitement in the new game release department.

Here are the top titles you can play in the month of August.

Madden 15 (PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360)

Madden NFL 15 delivers everything fans need to own their rivals on both sides of the field, including the most immersive defensive gameplay control in franchise history.

Like the Super Bowl XLVIII champions, the Seattle Seahawks, you can win championships and bask in the glory of success by building a great defence fit to challenge the best offenses in the game.

Sacred 3 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC)

For centuries, Ancaria was a land of peace, but the sacred bond between its people and the Seraphim has been forgotten.

And so, Lord Zane – ruler of the Ashen Empire – allies himself with demons, striving to open the gates to the underworld.

Risen 3: Titan Lords (PS3, Xbox 360, PC)

The world of Risen 3 has been abandoned by all gods and is plagued by the Titan Wars as a consequence. A young warrior sets off amidst the chaos to reclaim the land from darkness, and find his soul in the process.

Hohokum (PS3, PS4, PS Vita)

Enter the whimsical, colourful universe of Hohokum and take on the role of a curious flying kite. Travel to unique worlds full of colourful characters, and accomplish the goals set before you.

Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360)

The defeat of Diablo, Lord of Terror, should have given rise to an age of hope. Instead, it has drawn out a shadowy being of immense power whose malevolent purpose is yet to be revealed.

Reaper of Souls – included with Diablo 3 in this two-in-one combo – opens a dark and terrifying new chapter in the ongoing conflict over the realm of Sanctuary.

CounterSpy (PS3, PS4, PS Vita)

Combining the spy mythology and aesthetics of the 1950s and 1960s, and set during the Cold War, CounterSpy focuses on the rogue third spy agency, C.O.U.N.T.E.R., that keeps the world’s super powers at bay.

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare (PS4, PS3)

Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare will see you blasting zombies, plants, and new characters across a new world. If that’s not enough, take on the horde with friends in co-op and multiplayer modes.

Metro Redux (PS4, Xbox One, PC)

Metro Redux is the ultimate double game collection, including the definitive versions of both Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light, each rebuilt in the latest and greatest iteration of the 4A Engine for next-gen consoles and PC.

For the first time, console owners can expect smooth 60FPS gameplay and state-of-the-art visuals that were once only available on high-end PC hardware.

Infamous First Light (PS4)

Locked up in a prison for super powered humans, Fetch is forced to relive tragedies from her past. Unravel her dark secret in Seattle while battling to escape snowy Curdun Cay and seek vengeance against those who wronged her.

The Last of Us Remastered (PS4)

Winner of over 200 Game of the Year awards, The Last of Us has been rebuilt for the PlayStation.

The game now features full 1080p, higher resolution character models, improved shadows and lighting, in addition to several other gameplay improvements.
