Hark, the Games of December are coming

30 November 2014

The November madness is behind us, and December is looking like it will be a decidedly calmer month in terms of game releases.

With most of you still busy with GTA 5, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and Far Cry 4, your wallets will thank you for taking it easy this coming month.

Here are the games releasing in December 2014.

The Crew

The Crew releases for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 on 2 December 2014.

The game is an open-world MMO racer, with players given a fast ride and free reign in a digital United States. There is also a single-player campaign, which sees players trying to infiltrate a criminal organisation as protagonist Alex Taylor.

Secret Ponchos

Secret Ponchos is available on the PS4 from 4 December 2014.

The game sees players taking on the role of a fugitive outlaw, and is focused on player-vs-player dueling. The game plays from a top-down perspective, with the controls handling like a twin-stick shooter.

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix

The new Kingdom Hearts game is an HD remastered compilation of Kingdom Hearts II and Birth by Sleep. The title was previously exclusive to Japan, and will be landing in PAL regions in December for the PS3.

Tomb Raider and the Temple of Osiris

Tomb Raider and the Temple of Osiris releases for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC on 9 December 2014.

The 4 player co-op game is the sequel to Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, where players can take control of the famed adventurer or a 2,000-year-old Mayan warrior named Totec.

A single-player campaign mode is available which does not include the non-playable character AI following or helping Lara.

Destiny: The Dark Below expansion

The first expansion for Destiny goes live in December, with all versions of the game venturing into The Dark Below.

The expansions brings with it new weapons, armour, story missions, strikes, a Raid, and Crucible arenas.

“Beneath the surface of the Moon, a long-forgotten enemy stirs. Survive the true depths of the Hellmouth, and stop its dark army from invading Earth.”
