What better time to indulge in some gaming goodness than the weekend? The local retailers seem to agree with us and are offering up some alluring deals to taunt the money from our wallets.
Game console specials
To celebrate Game’s 45th birthday, the retailer has introduced a bunch of new gaming specials for the week, including some discounted prices on current and last-gen consoles.
Regarding the new machines on the market, there is an Xbox One standalone console for R5,799; and a 500GB PS4 console with two DualShock 4 controllers for R6,199.
As for the PS3 and 360 consoles, Game has a super-slim 12GB PS3 with two controllers for R2,799; and limited edition blue Xbox 360 500GB console with FIFA 15 and one controller for R2,999.
Keep in mind the specials are valid until May 5th.
BT Games Mortal Kombat X console bundles
BT Games is continuing the celebration of Mortal Kombat X’s release by offering up two different bundles this weekend.
A 500GB Xbox One console, with two controllers and Mortal Kombat X is priced at R6,699.90; while a PS4 500GB console, one controller and Mortal Kombat X bundle is priced at R6,499.90.
Kalahari under R200 gaming sale
Kalahari is still running its under R200 gaming sale, pricing a host of console and PC games at R199 or less.
Some of the better games on offer include Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Resident Evil 6 and God of War: Origins Collection (otherwise known as the God of War Collection – Volume II).
Kalahari’s PS4 special
Before Kalahari has its big merger with Takealot in April, the online retailer has adjusted its PlayStation 4 price, giving you just enough time to order one of you want to jump on one of Kalahari’s last good deals.
Kalahari has just lowered the price of its 500GB PlayStation 4 console and DualShock 4 from R5,999 to R5,799 – saving you R200.
Makro Xbox One and PS4 specials
Those looking for an Xbox One deal, Makro’s bundle includes a 500GB console, one controller and Halo: The Master Chief Collection (to add a little bit of Halo nostalgia), and all for R6,299.
If the PS4 is more you choice, there is a bundle on offer which includes the 500GB console, two DualShock 4 controllers, two games (Mortal Kombat X and Injustice: Gods Among Us) as well as a temporary tattoo sleeve, because… why not.
