Metal Gear Solid 4
This one of a kind case mod features a laser etched image of Solid Snake, a solid steel MGS4 logo marquee, a carbon fibre ‘Foxhound’ logo on the rear, 14 white LEDs to light everything up, and a signature by none other than Hideo Kojima himself.
This sold on E-bay for US$17100 (±R121 500) – 15% of the money was donated to the Penny Arcade Child’s Play charity.
Aliens
Although this looks like H. R. Giger just relieved himself all over a PS3, I’m sure it holds appeal to some fans.
This xenomorph case has a far better colour scheme, and who doesn’t love these cuddly little guys?

A fully functional PS3 Slim ‘laptop.’ Pretty cool if you are a PS3 gamer on the go.
Assassin’s Creed
This is the work of German case modding genius, Oliver ‘Butterkneter’ König. The leather and metal bound codex look is stunning, and the parallels to the Excalibur legend were not unintentional. The tea candles are illuminated by LEDs.
Rainbow Six: Vegas
Another ‘Butterkneter’ creation, this Rainbow Six case mod was officially commissioned by Ubisoft to promote the game. Just about everything lights up, just as you’d expect in sin city.
Far Cry 2
One more ‘Butterkneter’ mod. This was made during the build up to the Far Cry 2 release. A skull, spent ammo casings, a machete, some bugs, a compass, and some grass – it’s got it all! Too bad the game was a lemon.
Steampunk
This PS3 case mod was created to promote the similarly themed game, Damnation. The case mod looks great – hopefully that gauge functions to tell gamers when to quit playing the abysmal Damnation.
PS3 Grill
When all the n00bs have been pwnt, a gamer has gotta eat.
