Games you can play this week – caped crusaders and demon-slaying

Batman: Arkham Knight

This week marks the return of the Dark Knight in his biggest video game yet, the comeback of a veteran demon hunter (albeit in a shiny new layer of paint), and a faithful sidekick with the quickest tongue you’ll ever see.

Here’s the biggest game releases in SA this week:

Batman: Arkham Knight – June 23

(PC, Xbox One, PS4)

Rocksteady has already made it clear that they want to end Batman Arkham video game franchise with a bang, and Batman: Arkham Knight seems to be well on track to achieve it.

In this explosive finale, Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city he is sworn to protect. Leading the super villains roster is Scarecrow, who has Gotham city in a stranglehold.

For the very first time in the franchise history, Batmobile will be drivable in Batman: Arkham Knight.

The addition of this legendary vehicle, combined with the acclaimed gameplay of the Batman Arkham series, offers gamers the ultimate and complete Batman experience as they tear through the streets and soar across the skyline of the entirety of Gotham City.

Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition – June 23

(Xbox One, PS4)

For those who may missed out on Capcom’s demon-hunting extravaganza, Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition brings the beloved 2008 hack-‘n-slash to current-gen consoles and adds three new playable characters (Vergil, Trish and Lady) to the roster.

Each character brings a different skill set and weapon preference (Lady uses range attacks more, Vergil is close-quarters), which will provide some longevity to the remastered title, which, of course, also features enhanced visuals, frame-rate and menus.
