Games releasing in July

Winter is upon us; no for real, it’s freezing! But in spite of the chill, we’ve learnt that whatever the weather or the season, it’s always gaming time.

July sees Kratos return in full 1080p, F1 2015 race across consoles, the game of the year for 2012 release to PS4, and the release of the 1TB PS4.

F1 2015 – 10 July

(PS4, Xbox One)

Race like a champion in F1 2015, and get closer than ever before to the experience of racing in the world’s most glamorous, exciting and prestigious motorsport.

F1 2015 puts you in the heart of the action with a stunning new game engine that recreates the blisteringly fast and highly responsive racing cars of Formula One and features all-new ‘broadcast presentation’ that immerses you in the unique race day atmosphere.

Rocket League – July

(PC, PS4)

Rocket League’s gameplay is largely the same as its predecessor’s.

Players control a rocket-powered car and use it to hit a ball that is much larger than the cars towards the other team’s goal area to score points, in a way that resembles a football game, with elements reminiscent of a demolition derby.

The game is played by one or more players, locally or online and will feature “cross-platform play” on both PS4 and PC, which means that players on either platform will be able to play with or against one another.

Pneuma: Breath of Life – 7 July

(PS4)

Play as Pneuma and hear his comical self-obsessed inner monologue whilst he takes you on a journey exploring and traversing his world.

Progress through a series of challenging puzzles that require perception, observation and lateral thinking skills to succeed. This game isn’t about your skill with a controller; it’s about how you perceive and analyse situations.

Pneuma’s story is one that can only be told through the interactive medium of video games.

EA Sports Roy Mcllroy PGA Tour – 14 July

(PS4, Xbox One)

The new title will feature gorgeously detailed real-world courses, as well as epic fantasy courses that offer not only new settings, but their own unique challenges.

The game will be the first EA Sports title to utilize the power of the Frostbite 3 engine to render stunning courses and open up the golf experience like never before.

With the ability to stream full environments, players will truly be able to play the ball as it lies no matter where it lands.

God of War III: Remastered – 17 July

(PS4)

God of War III has been remastered for the PlayStation 4 system and supports 1080p at 60fps as a result.

God of War III Remastered will bring epic battles to life with stunning graphics and an elaborate plot that puts Kratos at the centre of carnage and destruction as he seeks revenge against the Gods who have betrayed him.

Godzilla – 14 July

(PS4, PS3)

Play as the ferocious beast Godzilla as you fight iconic beasts from the Japanese franchise.

The game will feature multiple game modes like Destruction Mode, King of the Monster Mode, and Evolution Mode.

Expect explosions, beams of a gratuitously destructive energy and spine-chilling screams as you take down other players online in the Multiplayer Mode.

Journey Collector’s Edition – 15 July

(PS4)

Experience the award-winning Journey, coming to PS4 on July 15th.

Explore the ancient, mysterious world of Journey as you soar above ruins and glide across sands to discover its secrets.

Play alone or in the company of a fellow traveler and explore its vast world together.

Featuring stunning visuals and a Grammy-nominated musical score, Journey delivers a breathtaking experience like no other.
