Finally, the weekend is here, and with it comes some gaming deals from local retailers, including some console, gaming and peripheral specials.
Here’s the best of the best this week:
Xbox One Gears of War Remastered bundle (CNA) – R4,999
With the release of Gears of War Remastered, CNA is holding a special on its 500GB Xbox One console bundle which includes the game. It’s priced at R4,999.90 until September 2nd, 2015.
Xbox 360/PS3 console bundle options (Game) – various prices
Game is currently running a promotion which allows aspiring console-adopters to select from a variety of console bundle specials.
Customers have the option of picking up a standalone 500GB Xbox 360 console for R3000, or a 12GB PS3 console and two controllers for R2,800.
They can then add 4 extra games if they choose to, which will make the Xbox 360 bundle R3,700 in total, or the PS3 bundle R3,500 in total.
If bought separate, the games are priced at R200 each.
City Triple Pack PC game special (CNA) – R99.90
If you’re looking for some WWII-inspired shooters, CNA has a special on the City Triple Pack for PC, which features Operation Thunderstorm, Royal Marines Commando and Sniper: Art of Victory, all for R99.90.
1TB PS4 console special (Game 4 U) – R5,950
Game 4 U has a special on the new 1TB edition of the PS4 console, pricing it at R5,950 for the weekend.
Game specials (Raru) – various prices
Raru has some specials on PC, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, and Xbox One games. You can buy 3 selected PC games for R99, 2 PS3 or Xbox 360 games for R299, and 2 PS4 or Xbox One games for R799.
PS4 standalone console (Makro) – R5,999
Looking for a 500GB standalone PS4 console with an extra DualShock 4 controller? Makro has a bundle which includes just that for R5,999.
Xbox 360 bundle (Makro) – R2,999
Makro has a special on a last-gen console too, with the Xbox 360 bundle – which includes the 500GB console, two controllers, Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare download code and Fable Anniversary – all for R2,999.
Xbox One console bundle (Makro) – R5,999
A decent bundle option is that from Makro, which includes the 500GB Xbox One console, two controllers and two games (Metro: Redux and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt), all for R5,999.
