This week, gamers are in for the first batch of October’s heavy hitters, with the robots in disguise, PlayStation’s treasure-hunting hero, and a returning music game all headlining the week’s game release schedule.
Transformers: Devastation – October 6
(Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4, PC)
We’ve had some pretty fun Transformers games released alongside the big-screen counterparts, but no game has truly captured the nostalgia and vivid visuals of the G1 cartoon, until now.
Transformers: Devastation is a new beat-’em-up action game based on the original Transformers cartoon series from the ’80s.
What’s even better is that the crazy minds at Platinum Games (of Metal Gear Rising Revengeance and Bayonetta fame) are behind this one.
Players will be able to control one of five Autobots: Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Wheeljack and Grimlock as they battle against Decepticon forces in large 3D environments.
We’re ready to roll out for this one.
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection – October 7
(PS4)
If there’s any series warranting your choice of siding with PlayStation, the Uncharted franchise is it.
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection prepares you for the fourth instalment (releasing in 2016) by catching you up with the first three brilliant adventures, namely: Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.
Not only have the games been remastered, but they also come with new Trophies and modes such as Explorer, Speed Run and Brutal Mode, which will allow players to experience these classics in a new way while introducing newcomers the Uncharted series.
