It’s a South African gamer’s favourite time of the year, the rAge gaming, tech and entertainment expo.
Taking place at the TicketPro Dome in Northgate, the event will surely be one of the biggest to date.
But what’s going down at the expo? What games will you be able to get your hands on and what goodies can you buy?
Well, using my keen senses and having dug through all of the press releases, I have put together a guide of everything, well, everything we know of so far, that you should expect from rAge 2015.
When and Where?
This year’s rAge expo takes place on 9 – 11 October.
- Friday – 10:00 – 18:00
- Saturday – 09:00 – 18:00
- Sunday – 10:00 – 16:00
- Where – The Ticketpro Dome | Corner Northumberland Road & Olievenhout Avenue | Northgate, North Riding
You can get day or weekend tickets at the door for R100 and R250 respectively, or at Computicket for the same price.

Microsoft has a few tricks up their sleeves for rAge 2015.
Rise of the Tomb Raider will be playable; plus, they’re giving away a trip to Cambodia in partnership with GeekXP. That alone is worth turning up to rAge for.
They will also have their new Xbox One Elite Controller on display for gamers to try out for themselves. And for a demonstration of the Xbox One’s backwards compatibility, you’ll need to get your butts to rage. And there’s more.
For the first time ever, [email protected] will be at rAge showcasing some great indie titles, as well as giving out some info on how South African developers can take part in the program.
Microsoft will also have a Fallout 4 Pip-Boy booth where you can get your photo taken and printed with a rather charming Fallout aesthetic.

From games, to art, to jewellery and merchandise, rAge 2015 will be full of ways to waste you hard earned cash.
