Games you can play this week – blizzards and barcodes

It’s another notable week for game releases this month, with some big-name titles seeing their anticipated releases, but there are also some smaller games worth noting too.

Here’s our picks of the week:

Tom Clancy’s The Division – March 8

(Xbox One, PS4, PC)

This one has been a long-time coming, but it’s finally here this week.

Tom Clancy’s The Division is a tactical third-person shooter set in a post-apocalyptic open-world New York that has been ravaged by a deadly outbreak.

Players can customise their character, backpack and level up weapons, gear and skills in order to survive the dangers of New York and its “Dark Zone”.

The Dark Zone is an online PvP arena, throwing players into a cordorned off section of the city that contains all the really good loot, but it also has all the other players that really want that loot too.

The game also features a dynamic, time based weather system in the winter-swept NY, which players can use for strategic advantage.

Hitman: “Intro Pack” – March 11

(Xbox One, PS4, PC)

The new Hitman game is finally getting a release this week, but we won’t be getting the full game yet, as this time around, the bald-headed assassin’s latest adventure will be an episodic one.

The first section debuts this week, and this only includes the prologue missions and the Paris contract.

More cities will be added in the following months, with the entire planned game getting released by the end of 2016.

There’s no doubt players will be thrown into some pretty complex murderous conundrums, with massive open environments filled with possibilities and the ability for players to choose their approach.
