The biggest movie releases this week

It’s beginning to get colder all around the country and more and more people are opting to stay indoors rather than brave the elements.

Luckily there’s good reason to stay indoors this weekend, as we’ve put together this weeks biggest theatrical releases for you to enjoy over a hot bucket of popcorn.


The Jungle Book

Raised by a family of wolves since birth, Mowgli (Neel Sethi) must leave the only home he’s ever known when the fearsome tiger Shere Khan (Idris Elba) unleashes his mighty roar.

Guided by a no-nonsense panther (Ben Kingsley) and a free-spirited bear (Bill Murray), the young boy meets an array of jungle animals, including a slithery python and a smooth-talking ape. Along the way, Mowgli learns valuable life lessons as his epic journey of self-discovery leads to fun and adventure.


The Forest

When her twin sister disappears in Japan, a young American named Sara (Natalie Dormer) becomes determined to find out what happened to her. Sara’s investigation leads her to the legendary Aokigahara Forest, located at the base of Mount Fuji.

Accompanied by expatriate Aiden, she enters the mysterious wilderness after being warned to “stay on the path.” Her investigation plunges her into a dark world where the angry and tormented souls of the dead prey on those who dare to explore the forest.


Adderall Diaries

Suffering from writer’s block, author Stephen Elliott (James Franco) reconnects with his estranged father (Ed Harris) while investigating the murder case of computer entrepreneur Hans Reiser (Christian Slater).


High Strung

Sparks fly between a young dancer (Keenan Kampa) and a British musician (Nicholas Galitzine) as they prepare for a hip-hop competition.


Criminal

CIA agent Bill Pope (Ryan Reynolds) dies while traveling to a secret location to meet a hacker who can launch missiles at will. Desperate to find his whereabouts, officials turn to an experimental neurosurgeon who can transfer memories from one brain to another.

The guinea pig for the procedure is Jerico Stewart (Kevin Costner), a violent and dangerous death-row inmate. Now gifted with Pope’s skills and knowledge, Stewart must race against time to stop a sinister international conspiracy.


Fan

A man (Shah Rukh Khan) develops a dangerous obsession with a movie star who looks just like him.
