nAvTV hosted its Greenstone-leg of the Mall Gaming Experience on 18 and 19 June.
Shoppers had access to a variety of Playstation 4 titles (including Pro Evolution Soccer 2016, Driveclub and a wide variety of LEGO titles), could check out NAG and GES’s awesome cosplay competition, or just kick back in front of the big screen and watch some of South Africa’s best DOTA 2 teams battle it out for their shot at R150,000.
While gamers might be used to all this spectacle, we asked everyday South Africans what they thought of the Mall Gaming Experience:
“It’s very cool. It’s lifesaving that I can come to a shopping mall and can play videogames.” – Vusi
“We like FIFA more!” – Andre and Juri
“I normally don’t play games but it is cool that I can bring my son and keep him entertained. Its definitely a venture worth taking.” – Daniel
“Its pretty cool. I have only played LEGO and I am a little bit confused as to how everything works but its fun to be able to come here and play.” – Frederik
“The fact that we can have events like this is kickass! I’m looking forward to more of them in the future.” – Sam.
