Razer launches new hardware for streamers

21 October 2017

Razer has revealed its new desktop webcam and microphone products which aim to help gamers deliver professional quality live streams.

The Razer Kiyo camera is equipped with an adjustable ring light with support for 12 levels of brightness, meaning streamers no longer have to rely on low-light compensation.

The camera delivers a 720p image at 60 FPS or up to 1080p at 30 FPS and is compatible with Open Broadcaster Software and XSplit.

Razer’s Seiren X USB condenser microphone features a shock mount and is equipped with 25mm condenser capsules for improved sensitivity.

Razer said the microphone’s pickup pattern “records sound at a tighter and more precise angle optimised for streaming”.

Both the Razer Kiyo and Seiren X will be priced at $100 and will be available from the Razer store in October 2017.
