The 5th annual Best App Ever Awards have wrapped up over on BestAppEver.com.
BestAppEver.com has a reputation in the industry for curating available apps since 2008. The annual awards takes into account all submitted apps, and then shortlists 10 nominated apps. Voting is open the the developer industry as well as the public. The awards are in assiciation with 148Apps, Portable Gamer, Pocket Gamer and App Spy.
The winners have now been announced, and the following apps were the prize winners for the Most Innovative App award.
Launch Center Pro
Launch Centre Pro allows users to create quick and customisable shortcuts and features within other apps.
It’s basically a quick-dial of sorts into features deep within other apps.
If you want to make a shortcut that immediately calls a loved one, messages a particular friend, launches Instagram and takes a photo quickly, or simply send out a tweet, Launch Center can create that desired shortcut for you.
The Silent History
The Silent History is not your traditional app to help with a task, but rather a storytelling and content delivery system.
The app follows a story set in 2044, where doctors begin to notice children being born with a silent condition, which leaves them unable to speak or comprehend anything.
The app delivers story bits through updates, called Testimonials, which make up 120 parts divided up into six volumes. Each day it adds a new glimpse from a character touched by the condition.
It’s a unique and interesting way to tell a story, and a smart way to embrace the GPS, mobility and portability of mobile devices.
Figure
Figure is an app published by Propellerhead Software and brings music creation to your iOS device.
The music-making app allows users to combine drums, bass and lead synths to create some interesting music pieces.
Figure utilises Reason’s powerful music-creation tech, and allows you to share via Soundcloud.

Summly, the text-summarising phenomenon; Action movie FX, the video editing app; and 8tracks radio, which allows users to listen to playlists curated by other users in terms of criteria such as genre and style.
