Distributor of Steelseries products in South Africa, Megarom has confirmed that the Steelseries Siberia V2 DOTA 2 headset will be available in limited quantities of around 60 units, and from only one online retailer.
Froggy has the deal; the headset is priced at R1,699 and should be available by the end of February – https://www.froggy.co.za/shop/#!page/prodlist/prodid/18179/cat/1/cat1/159
Engadget’s global review score, which aggregates reviews from many reputable sites, has landed the original Steelseries Siberia V2 with a score of 80%.
Aside from the Dota 2 branding, colour scheme (including LED lights), the headset will also give buyers a Mythical grade cosmetic equipment item for Dota 2 hero Nature’s Prophet – the Scythe of Vyse.
This item can also be crafted in game by using up 5 Mythical items, but this will only give you a regular quality Legendary version of the Scyhe of Vyse, and not the Genuine Mythical Scythe of Vyse.
The Genuine Scythe of Vyse is going for around $75 (±R800) on the Dota 2 market at the time of writing, so if you manage to flog it, you’ve ostensibly got yourself a Steam wallet rebate on the headset.

About Steelseries Siberia V2 DOTA 2
The headset connects via USB, meaning it is not compatible with PS3 or Xbox 360.
It boasts a retractable noise-cancelling boom microphone that can be hidden in the left earcup, and an in-line volume and microphone level control.
The leather covered foam earcups purportedly dampen external noise.
The Steelseries Engine software can be used to configure sound profiles, and setup the 16 LED lights that adorn the earcups in 6 different modes, such as noise activated, or slow and fast pulses.
