The performance numbers of an unreleased graphics card rumored to be the long-awaited Radeon RX 490 have surfaced, WCCFTech reports.
AMD initially unveiled its RX Series GPUs by citing benchmark figures from Ashes of the Singularity, thanks to the game’s use of Asynchronous Compute and DirectX 12.
It is uncertain whether the card shown in the AoTS benchmarks is a Dual-GPU or single-GPU graphics card, although speculation points to the latter being more probable, meaning that it could be based on AMD’s new Vega architecture.
The graphics card boasts a performance score of 8,400, competing with the GeForce GTX 1080 near the top of the benchmark ladder.
The unnamed card’s score was deleted soon after being published, possibly implying that it could not be made public yet.
It is important to note that despite recent leaks regarding the Radeon RX 490, these benchmark scores are not confirmed at all, and may not reflect the performance of the upcoming graphics card.
