iBuypower and Intel have partnered to create Project Snowblind – a transparent LCD side panel for custom PC cases.

The side panel is an LCD screen which is backlit by the case’s interior lighting, allowing it to function as a transparent display.

The LCD screen is a 19-inch display with a resolution of 1,280 x 1,024.

The panel connects to a single PCI expansion slot inside the case, which then routes to a video input on the back of the chassis.

iBuypower first showed off its Project Snowblind side panel last year, but has now officially announced its pricing and release date.

According to PCWorld, the Snowblind panel will cost $250 and will be available from February 2017.
