AMD unveils Radeon Pro 500 Series graphics cards

AMD has revealed its new Radeon Pro 500-series graphics cards.

Radeon Pro 500 cards are available in the updated Apple iMac devices and feature support for 4K and 5K displays.

The new graphics cards are based on AMD’s Polaris architecture and feature up to 5.5 TFLOPS of peak compute performance.

The Radeon Pro 580 GPU included in the more powerful iMacs is capable of playing VR games and creating virtual reality content.

Radeon Pro 500 graphics also support GPU acceleration through OpenCL across creative applications like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.

The new graphics cards are aimed at content creators, said AMD.
