Samsung has launched its new T5 portable SSDs, which boast transfer speeds almost five-times faster than external hard drives.
The devices are available in 250GB, 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB capacities, and connect via a USB 3.1 Gen 2 interface.
The Samsung T5 can deliver up to 540MB/s transfer speeds, provided the host device supports USB 3.1 Gen 2 and has UASP mode enabled.
Built-in AES 256-bit hardware encryption allows users to protect their files with a password, and the drives are bundled with a USB Type-C to Type-A connector.
