HP has launched its Omen X compact gaming PC on its online store.

The Omen X Compact Desktop is a convertible desktop PC and VR backpack, allowing gamers to play VR titles without being tethered to a desk.

A docking station allows users to charge the backpack’s battery and use the device as a conventional gaming PC.

The slim chassis houses an overclockable Intel Core i7 processor and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card, offering enough power for VR and 4K gaming.

The device is available for $2,499.

    This is a call concept from HP, however i struggle to see how someone will spend that kind of money and not rather go for a Gaming Laptop that is actually portable.

    I tried to look for it at Rage but didn’t see it at the Omen booth would have been cool if they did a demo then… unless i just missed it.
