Intel launches new Optane solid state drives

Intel has launched new Optane SSDs, the 900P Series.

Intel said they are the first SSDs for desktop PC and workstation users built on Intel Optane technology.

“The 900P Series delivers incredibly low latency and best-in-class random read and write performance at low queue depths – up to four-times faster than competitive NAND-based SSDs,” said Intel.

“The 900P Series is ideal for the most demanding storage workloads.”

The SSDs are available in the following sizes:

  • Optane SSD 900P HHHL 480GB – $599
  • Optane SSD 900P HHHL 280GB – $389
  • Optane SSD 900P U.2 280GB – $389
