Last week we discussed rumors that ATi would be dropping the prices of their HD 4850 and HD 4870. This week the rumors seem to be coming to fruition, as one of Sapphire’s HD 4870s can be found for € 149 (R2000).
It would seem that the HD 4830 and HD 4850 have not seen any change in pricing yet, both still selling for €84 and €120 respectively.
It remains to be seen if the price cut will trickle down to local consumers. We are currently awaiting comment from AMD SA.
