Razer has announced that its Sabertooth gaming controller will have an RRP of R799 when it launches in January 2013.
The controller is essentially the successor to the uber-popular Razer Onza, which has become a third-party controller that many gamers lean towards.
The Sabertooth also caters towards Microsoft’s Xbox 360 console, with the biggest addition being six extra buttons, all of which are customisable.
Two extra shoulder buttons and two removable rocking switches (on the lower back of the controller) feature, and can be mapped to whatever command you desire.
A built-in OLED screen is also present on the controller, where you’ll be able to access your customisation options, adjust sensitivity, and choose your saved profiles.
Razer Sabertooth features:
- 2 shoulder multi-function buttons (MFB)
- 4 removable multi-function buttons (MFT)
- 4 backlit Hyperesponse action buttons
- OLED screen for feature customization
- Non-slip rubber surface
- Quick-release USB connector
- Detachable 10 ft/3m lightweight braided fiber cable
- Carrying case
- 2.5mm microphone jack
- Approximate size : 110mm / 4.33” (Length) x 154mm / 6.06” (Width) x 57mm / 2.24” (Height)
- Approximate weight: 288g / 0.63 lbs
For those gamers who’ve just invested in a Razer Onza, don’t worry, as you’ll also get a discount when picking up the Sabertooth from the Razer store.

I was going to return it, but I paid 35 dollars for it and
shipping would have been 15. I held on to it for about a year and a half, when
they were offering double trade in credit. I ended up making money off of it,
so it wasn’t all bad. I def won’t be buying this controller though.
