Fermi runs hotter than Nvidia’s GTX 200 series

According to Fudzilla Nvidia’s next generation GPU platform Fermi will run hotter than its outgoing GTX 200 series. The information is based on hands on experience with a new Fermi graphics card which despite sporting dual-slot air cooling ran “quite hot”.

Fermi is expected to hit shelves in March. Hardware enthusiast will be eager to see how Fermi performs alongside AMD’s HD 5000 series.

Fudzilla has also reported that a dual GPU Fermi based card will be released following the launch card which is currently being dubbed Fermi GF100.
