Valve disassociates with Xi3 Piston

12 March 2013

Despite being an original backer of the pint-sized computer, Valve has come out to declare that the company has nothing to do with the Xi3 Piston and its company.

Valve was initially revealed to be part of the Xi3’s investment, but it appears that Valve no longer has any relation to the product.

“Valve began some exploratory work with Xi3 last year, but currently has no involvement in any product of theirs,” said Valve’s Doug Lombardi.

The Piston Xi3 was announced to be available for pre-order, with pricing starting at $999.99 (R9,162.40).
