Intel is playing dirty in the current antitrust suit that is taking place. The chip maker has included as part of its case that one of AMD’s top executives was quoted as saying he would never use an AMD CPU in his own PC.
The excerpt is from 2004, and quotes then AMD Executive Vice President Henri Richard as saying “If you look at it with an objective set of eyes, you would never buy AMD. I certainly would never buy AMD for a personal system, if I wasn’t working here.”
Things have changed a lot since 2004, and both AMD and Intel have released multiple new CPU architectures since then, but the quote is still a rather harsh indictment on the quality of AMD’s CPUs.
