Nvidia releases driver update 196.34

28 January 2010

Just last week Nvidia released a new set of drivers for its Geforce graphics card.

196.21 brough SLI support to a number of games, and fixed a number of system based bugs for Windows 7, Vista and XP.

Games that were supposedly tweaked include the Avatar Demo, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, City Bus Simulator, Dirt 2, Ferrari Virtual Race, GREED: Black Border, Mass Effect 2, Mortal Online, Ninja Blade, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising Demo, Planet 51, RUSE, Serious Sam HD, and Wings of Prey.

It would seem however than a software bug in the driver has been causing problems with overclocking. Nvidia has now released an update which fixes this problem.

The downloads require around 100MB of international bandwidth.
