Computex Taipei is just a week away from opening its doors to the public and G.Skill is revealing that they have a surprise in store – a brand new range of products.

G.Skill makes enthusiast-grade DDR3 RAM, has taken numerous over-clocking records over the past two years, and also manufactures a decent line of solid state drives (SSDs). A teaser was released on the internet showing off a new headset from the memory manufacturer and it looks like they’re aiming for the high-end market.

The angular design is interesting and it looks like the ear pads are soft, leatherette cushions. That’s going to be really nice to wear during a few hours of League of Legends or Call of Duty. The ear pods also appear to swivel, although its more likely that the gap there just hides the adjustment sleeve.

From what we see so far, it seems to be similar in design to the Razer Electra, although the earpods have a swivel hinge to allow for a better fit. Many headphones that I’ve tested get this so wrong, so I hope G.Skill paid attention to this.

G.Skill has only announced that they’ll be showing off some new headsets, but they may also have more surprises in store, including a mouse or two and perhaps even a keyboard. Their memory is great and they’ve already earned a spot in the enthusiast circle with some daring to utter the G.Skill name in the same sentence as Corsair. I hope they do more than headsets in the future.
