While we may not be getting behemoths like the Aerocool GT-S locally, the long-awaited StrikeX ST has been launched by Aerocool and will be available worldwide. “ST” stands for “Super Tower” and like the Predator, the ST is enormous.
The ST has enough room for HPTX motherboards and packs enough space for up to ten 3.5-inch hard drives, four DVD writers and another drive at the top of the chassis in a docking bay. There’s also lots of cable management features and enough space for two power supplies.
The StrikeX ST also provides for an insane twenty-one (21) 120mm fans. Aerocool provides a hub to connect them to and the front of the chassis has a built-in fan controller controlling fan speeds on three zones.
The ST has two USB 3.0 ports on the front panel along with two USB 2.0 ports and the usual headphone and microphone jacks. Red LEDs light up on the front panel console and the StrikeX logo also glows when the PC is on.
There’s 430mm of space for even the longest graphics cards, washable dust filters all-round, space for a front 240 mm radiator, a top 360mm radiator and space for another 240mm radiator at the bottom. There are even mountings on the hard drive racks themselves for two 140mm fans and a 120mm fan on the underside of the motherboard.
If you’re particularly insane it’s possible, if you find the right size radiators, that you can even have another three 360mm radiators hanging on the side panel. The StrikeX ST will come in all black and red-and-black colours with a painted red interior for the latter version.
