Unfortunately many people will be running ATI cards due to mantle API etc if they upgrade soon, not to mention this is nvidia & windows 8 only, of which many gamers still enjoy windows 7. MSI afterburner and FRAPS are still good enough, as most people that record, tend to not mind about the FPS hit.
Shadowplay sounds like nice tech, being able to help lower spec PCs to record more easily, however I still think the uptake will be low.
