At CES 2014, Razer has unveiled a bizarre, yet undeniably awesome-looking modular PC chassis concept – dubbed Razer Project Christine.
Razer bills Project Christine as “a revolutionary new concept design that will change the way users view PCs.”
Components can be swapped out as the user sees fit, although it remains to be seen exactly how the motherboard section of this design will work or be upgradeable. Razer says that the components are connected via a PCI-E bus.
The cable-less design of each sealed module offers a clean presentation. Each self-contained module features active liquid cooling and noise cancellation.
The system also features a touch-screen LED display that indicates control and maintenance information.
Razer Project Christine features:
- Fully modular design for perpetual, cable-less customization
- PCI-Express architecture
- Open operating system platform
- Factory overclocked components
- Self-contained modules with active liquid cooling and noise cancelation
- Quad SLI capable
- SSD + RAID 5 HDD Array
- LED touchscreen control display
Beyond this announcement, Razer hasn’t provided any time frames for an actual prototype to be revealed.
