Gigabyte has revealed its latest foray into the gaming laptop market with a sleek little number it has dubbed the Aorus X7.
The standout features of the X7 are its 17.3-inch Full HD display and thin and lightweight design which belies the powerful 4th gen. Intel Haswell Core i7-4700HQ CPU and dual Nvidia GTX 765M SLI GPUs crammed inside.
Dimensionally speaking, the X7 weighs in at 2.9kg and 22.9mm thick.
The chassis is constructed from aluminium and seems to boast adequate ventilation considering the hardware setup – 5 thermal pipes, 4 vents and 2 fans direct heat to the rear of the laptop.
The X7 is expected to hit US retail in the next few months with a price of US$2,100 to US$2,800 (±R22,500 to R30,000) depending on configuration.
We are awaiting confirmation from Rectron, distributor of Gigabyte products in SA, as to local availability and pricing.
Gigabyte claims that the X7 achieves P7393 in 3DMark 11. Check out the full specification below.
