Mad Catz Strike 3 gaming keyboard SA price revealed

The Mad Catz S.T.R.I.K.E. 3 gaming keyboard, expected to be available in South Africa from 15 February 2014 with an RRP of R2,499.99, promises to cover all the necessary quick-response and macro key needs of the modern PC warrior, no matter what genre you throw at it.

One of the trumpeted features of the S.T.R.I.K.E. 3 is its P.U.L.S.E key bed – a “specially engineered” key membrane which will provide “precise feedback” and, allegedly, lasts five-times longer than your traditional membrane keyboard.

The keys’ sensitivity levels have been set to compress at a weight of 60 grams, which the manufacturer claims is the optimum level to reduce muscle fatigue during “prolonged gaming” sessions.

If you are suffering from muscle fatigue in your fingers, you are obviously not a real gamer and this keyboard would not be for you anyway.

Besides the keys’ touch and feel pros, the S.T.R.I.K.E. 3 allows for a dozen programmable macro buttons which can be spread over three modes. These modes can be saved and transferred to other PCs, ensuring you are ready to go when sitting down at a new rig.

Windows key lock and a variety of low and bright, multi-coloured back-lights are thrown into the mix, along with integrated shorcut keys for adjustments to the lighting when you feel its time for a change.

What do you think of the Mad Catz S.T.R.I.K.E. 3 keyboard? Is it worth the asking price? Let us know in the comments below.
