SA’s ultimate gaming PC

NZXT Phantom 820 Full Tower Professional Gaming Case

Have you ever dreamed about owning a PC that costs more than a second-hand VW Polo with low mileage? Then you are in the right place.

We decided to see what you can get if money is no object and the only limitation is the builder’s imagination (and parts list).

The kind folks at Evetech obliged, and put together their ultimate gaming PC for your viewing pleasure at our request.

At R103,999.00 – including VAT, but not a keyboard, mouse, or monitor – the spec list below is as close as most of us will ever get to a PC like this.

Here are the beast’s specs:

“With a machine like this using only the best components available, you can be sure that upgrading any time in the foreseeable future will be totally off the cards,” said Evetech’s head of operations, Kamran Sorathia.

“The top of the range i7 4960X is pushed to the limits with an over-clock of 4.5GHz, squeezing out every last drop of juice the processor has to offer; 64GB of Kingston Beast 2,400MHz memory; not one, but 3 GTX 780Ti graphics cards running in SLi with every setting pushed to the max; and the Creative Sound Blaster ZxR Sound Card delivering unmatched crystal-clear audio – this machine just screams: “I AM KING!”‘ said Sorathia.

“There won’t be anything standing in your way of supreme gaming bliss,”said Sorathia. Well, except the price tag, but we love the enthusiasm.

Sorathia added that they have built PCs similar to this before and delivered them to paying customers.
